teach me mamma

I know ... I know ... its been more than 11 months . Then what is the significance of ' Photo of the "Month" ' thing ? ... Well, I said na - " I Know " .

There are lot of excuses like - its been lockdown and I was not out for any shoot, My family also got affected by covid , family functions happened, I was travelling a lot and not having time to put things up and BLAH BLAH ... well all these are excuses ... but somewhat true.

Well, leaving all these excuses on its own place and moving ahead. I did another shoot and captured few amazing moments. I have been keep on saying that- PHOTOGRAPHY is not merely about getting perfect shot ( yeah , one must strive for it ) ... but, its more about telling the story through stills. And I am unable to get out through 'conditional-yet-unconditional love' theme. Knowingly and unknowingly, we learn a lot from our parents ... specially from our mothers' . As we use to spend a lot more time together ... also, level of understanding of both 'Mother' & a 'Kid' is on another level. Might be due to the fact : that a baby is 'generated and evolved' inside 'her' body, and that builts an un-explainable connection between them. We, as artists are always suggested to observe any infant (of any species) , just to know - what nature has given them, in its purest form. And it's kind a different level of experience , whenever there is motherly love in the air.

The time, I was capturing a local religious event. Where, the 'Idol' is placed inside a 'palanquin' (palki) and 'city tour' (nagar bhraman) is being performed in-order-to make idol-visuals(darshan) to everyone. Including to the one(s) - who could not join the worship rituals due to their/mutual hurdles. As every idol is related to some life philosophy , which is then revised our mind after 'darshan'. And this is why 'visiting a temple' is suggested to keep one on track of life path. So, during that tour ritual ... I captured lot of good memories and moments. The one that will always stay in my mind is this one : P H O T O G R A P H __ M A I N

Where a mother is teaching her Kid to 'perform arti' in public. You can see the innocence in eyes of this kid fella. Which is mesmarizing in its own way. I am drawn in the moment where care, affection and yet - confidence is being conveyed from a mother to her kid. And witnessing this for a fraction of minute , peeping for sight among people and palanquin, waiting for right look by subjects, clicking and missing few shots, still holding the breath to stay focused, ignoring trail of sweat coming down and entering in eyes and finally capturing it ... knowing that I have captured something beautiful... then revisiting the photographs after months... will leave anybody on this earth speechless in sense of wow.

And you might have observed in past few blogs ... 'motherly love' is prominent . The last one ... that I am going to name 'PHOTOGRAPH OF THE YEAR'. This one ... is again about motherly love. Also pay your visit to the 'shared smiles' photograph in previous blogs ... thats again about mother and kid connection.

Well ... now onwards, as I am back to kinda normal mode. I will keep clicking beauty of life-around and will keep sharing with you my friends. It will be pretty amazing to interact with readers and know their POVs about photographs. I would like to get in touch.
